Meet Our Teachers

Kyle Drakard
Guitar | Drums | Bass Guitar | Practical Theory
Kyle Drakard is a versatile Maltese musician and educator with over two decades of experience. Starting his musical journey at the age of 10, he quickly became a sought-after session musician and lead guitarist for Gensna, later founding The Ranch and PlaKard.
Presently, Kyle performs with Tribali, playing guitar, sitar and percussion. He has also performed at major festivals, including We Out Here Festival and Love Supreme Jazz Festival. In London, Kyle showcases his multi-instrumental talents through his solo project KYLO, where he plays guitar, drums, sitar, bass, piano, and vocals, in addition to collaborating with other artists. With a decade of teaching experience, Kyle is passionate about mentoring aspiring musicians while continuing to evolve as an artist.

Malcolm Abdilla
Piano | Music Theory
Malcolm, a 27-year-old musician, brings over 20 years of piano performance and teaching experience to The Space. Beginning his musical journey at seven, he earned a Grade 8 certification in Classical Piano and expanded his expertise through studies in Contemporary Music and Jazz Improvisation at the Malta School of Music.
A versatile artist, Malcolm has explored various genres, including post-rock, releasing Dwal u Forom with Poggi—demonstrating his ability to blend technical precision with creative expression.
As an educator, he is dedicated to inspiring students by merging classical fundamentals with contemporary techniques. His teaching approach nurtures creativity, builds strong technical foundations, and fosters a deep appreciation for music.
